In reviewing some of the market indicators:
SPY (S&P500 ETF) is -3% above its 50 day moving average,
QQQ (Nasdaq 100 ETF) is -4% above its 50 day moving average,
IWM (Russell 2000 ETF) is -5% above its 50 day moving average,
SPY and QQQ are above their 200 day moving average.
The sum of the deviations is positive.

STechnology which I sold on 8/26 has a lost 3.42%. The ETFs, one sold on 8/5 and one not sold, lost 3.86% and has gained 0.50% currently. SITServices which I sold on 8/26 has a gain of 21.64%. The ETFs I sold, both on 5/13 with a stop loss, had a gain of 12.93% and a loss of 8.92%. The stop loss was really set too high and thus sold too soon.
Since 1937, the average September performance of the S&P 500 index SPX and the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA is a 1% decline, while the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP has seen an average fall of 0.5%, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
