A not so good week, not a buy week. The sum of all the deviations has been 472, 454, and now 439 – not up 2 weeks in a row.
The number of funds I rate as a buy over the last 3 weeks has been 71, 20, and now 19.
Sort of a slow down trend. Like last week, none of my top 20 finds were rated as a buy.
In order to limit the number of funds I watch to 100, each week I add a fund from last month’s best performing and delete the worst performing.
This week I added RealEstateIncome(FRIFX) and deleted SAutomotive(FSAVX). Last month (June) there were only 26 funds which gained more than 1% – not a long list.
Gary Kaltbaum on his Friday evening show indicated this week may have been the “high watermark” (peak) for tech and retailing.
You can listen to his show at 6pm on your local biztalk station, or on the net at www.biztalkradio.com/, or on the BizTalkRadio app.

I stopped by Publix today and when checking out gave the young cashier 2 gold dollars and 12 half dollars (put the rest on plastic). First she counted them all as dollars. I corrected her and then she counted them correctly . Then she asked customer service it Publix took half dollars. I suggested that US coins had to be taken by US businesses. You would think Publix would show their cashers what US money looks like. Then next time I go in I’m going to slip in a Susan B Anthony Dollar and maybe a 2 dollar bill. I have quite a few older circulated coins to spend.
