09 December 2016

Next weekend I expect to be out of town and unable to produce this report until the following Wednesday. Make sure your watch your investments and remember that a distribution of $1.00 will decrease the price by $1.00 so the sell price needs to be decreased also.

I’ve said that the FED pumping money into the market is like holding a match under the thermostat during cold weather. The numbers go higher but it does nothing about the economy or the real temperature – the economy is still bad and you are still cold. This is an interesting article about The FED’s actions.

Chuck Jaffe on his MoneyLife show on 09Dec featured an interview with Martin Pring of Pring Research where Pring indicates that he is quite bullish for the next 6 months. On the show for 08Dec Jaffe interviewed author David Scranton of Sound Income Strategies whose book is “Return on Principle: 7 Core Values to Help Protect Your Money in Good Times and Bad.” Scranton indicated in the interview that in 2007 he worked  to get his clients out of the market and in many ways today’s market is 2007 all over again. He says if we do not have a 30% drop from today’s level we will be breaking three world records regarding previous stock market actions. He indicates the DJIA could hit 20k first but it also could be a 70% drop. The drop will last between 12 to 36 months. He does not know what trigger will start this drop or how soon it will start.

“The DecisionPoint Report” from Stockcharts.com:
