A good week, NOT a great week, but a buy week. The sum of all the deviations has been 98, 329, and now 476 – up 2 weeks in a row.
The number of funds I rate as a buy over the last 3 weeks has been 00, 10, and now 91.
In reviewing some of the market indicators:
SPY (S&P500 ETF) is 1% above its 50 day moving average,
QQQ (Nasdaq 100 ETF) is 1% above its 50 day moving average,
IWM (Russell 2000 ETF) is -1% above its 50 day moving average,
SPY and QQQ are above their 200 day moving average.
The sum of the deviations is positive.

Years ago I listened to Clark Howard on the radio and now he has podcasts. On his 03Sep podcast he says if you continue to do business with Wells Fargo you are putting yourself harm’s way. He calls Wells Fargo a criminal enterprise impersonating a bank, having committed massive frauds over the years taking advantage of millions of customers. Do a Google search on the New Jersey pastor Rev. Jeffrey Edwards which Wells Fargo had arrested for check fraud. He had many expenses after his arrest (including a lawyer) until after three court appearances, the case was dismissed for lack of evidence. Wells Fargo will not respond to any query on the incident or even pay the costs they caused him because of his arrest.
This was a bad week for gold and gold funds. It is a little scary investing in September, which on average is the worst month of the year, but my numbers say buy.
